Tzu Chi Academy was first established in Los Angeles in 1994 with a unique focus on teaching students about not only the Chinese language and culture, but also the practice of joyous giving by showing sincere compassion.  

Professional instructors at Tzu Chi Academy also incorporate the Chinese language and culture through interactive and fun lessons – many of which further fulfilling the robust and theme-based Chinese instruction.

Classes are available for both beginners and those of intermediate levels of proficiency. Our goal is for this linguistic and cultural experience to build the student’s confidence and proficiency in communication through a significant world language, and to cultivate respect, love, and caring, toward all people.

1994年慈濟在美國加州洛杉磯成立第一所人文學校，創校至今，全美共有二十五所學校。慈濟人文學校的校訓為「慈悲喜捨」，以此精神啟發孩子本具的良知和良能。透過人文藝術的涵養，培養孩子懂得感恩、尊重、愛。

人文學校的課程多元化，不僅教授中文和才藝課程，更融入活潑的靜思語教學和慈濟人文課程，提供孩子全方位的人本教育。

歡迎來自中國、東南亞、台灣、美國及世界各地想要學習中文及人文的家庭加入。除了原有的注音班外，也增加了拼音班，讓孩子們選擇適合自己的工具學習中文。
