REQUIREMENTS

• Age:
  •  [CSL and CFL]is available for both beginners and those of intermediate levels of proficiency from ages [5 to 8] with limited or no Chinese speaking environment at home. New students will be assessed before enrollment.
  • [Pre-K] is available for both beginners and those of intermediate levels of proficiency from ages [4 to 5]. Must be at least 4 years old before December 31, 2023.
  • [Phonetics – Zhuyin ] is available for both beginners and those of intermediate levels of proficiency from ages [5-7]. Must be at least 5 years old before December 31,2023.
  • [First Grade and up] is available for both beginners and those of intermediate levels of proficiency from ages [6 to 16]. Must be at least 6 years old before December 31, 2023.
• Uniform: Students are required to wear uniforms during classes, which can be purchased at the beginning of the school year. Navy Blue Khaki trousers and white sneakers may be purchased at any stores such as Kohl’s, Target or Walmart.
• Extracurricular electivesare optional classes offered from 11:45AM to 12:35PM. (not available for 9th/10th grade student)
• Parent Volunteer Hours: Parents are encouraged to participate in school activities during the school year and volunteer for duties during the school year.

TUITION

• $510 annual per child registering for all classes, except 9th and 10th grade.
• $560 annual per child registering for 9th and 10th grade (tuition includes $12 mandatory AP Chinese Practice Test) $135 textbook ($85) and workbook ($50) fee is required for 9th and 10th grade students.(include shipping and sales tax)
• $12 AP Chinese Practice Test; optional for 7th and 8th Grade students.
• $20 Sibling Discount is available for each additional child.
• $100 Faculty Discount is available for children of any teacher.

REGISTRATION DATES

• Returning students and siblings of returning students begin: 4/16/23
• New students begin: 4/30/23

REGISTRATION FEES

Returning/New students non-refundable registration fee is $40. Students registering before May 22, 2023  11:59 pm PST may receive -$40 registration discount, total $40 registration fee.

TUITION POLICY

• If registering after May 22, 2023 and on or before the 4th week of the school year, full tuition and a non-refundable registration fee of $40 are required.
• If registering after the 4th to 8th week of the school year, 85% of the tuition and a non-refundable registration fee of $40 are required.
• If registering after the 8th week to the end of the first semester, 80% of the tuition and a non-refundable registration fee of $40 are required.
• Students transferring into the school during the 2nd semester are required to pay 65% of the tuition. Students who need to withdraw during the 2nd semester will not receive any refund for the tuition.

REFUND POLICY

• Refund processing time may take 3~4 weeks, NO REFUND will be given for the registration fee
• Requests received before school start: 100% refund after deducting $35 processing fee.
• Requests received during school 4th Week (include 4th week): 75% refund after deducting $35 processing fee.
• Requests received during school 5th to 7th Week (include 7th week): 50% refund after deducting $35 processing fee.
• Requests received after school 7th Week: 25% refund after deducting $35 processing fee.
  Tuition is not refundable after the end of fall term

ELECTIVE CLASSES

The maximum class size for each Elective Class is 15 Students.
**Material fee will be collected at the time of the first class.  at least 8 years old

Tzu Chi Academy reserves the right to cancel any class should the minimum class size of 8 students not be met. Elective class enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis based on when the student registers.

• The school reserves the right to limit the number of students in any class and reserves the right to reject any registration.
  There will be no refunds for the registration fee.
• There are approximately 30 weeks in the school year and a $20. deduction per week. If a student withdraws after the 7th week, there is no refund.
• The process fee of $20 will be charged for each elective  class change after the second week of the class.
• Non-refundable material fee for elective classes.
• Parents must take turns acting as class parents. Class parents must assist the teacher in keeping the classroom neat and clean.

註冊條件

  • 一年級 –  九/十年級：六歲 – 十六歲
• 制服：學生在上課時必须穿慈濟制服，請在開學日購買。深藍色卡其長褲和白色運動鞋，請自行在 Kohl’s, Target, Walmart…等處購買。
• 才藝課程：選修課可自選。上課時間：11:45AM to 12:35PM (該課程不適用於9年級學生)
• 家長志工時間：鼓勵家長在學年期間參加學校活動，並承擔愛心爸爸、愛心媽媽職位。

• 學費$465美元 — CSL/CFL、幼幼班至八年級
• 學費$510美元 — 九／十年級(含AP中文模擬考費用）
• 九十年課本 (聽說讀寫課本 $85, 作業 $50）費用 $135（包括運費及消費稅）
• $12 AP 中文模擬考試費用 – 七、八年級學生 (可自選）

註册費

新、舊生註册費（不退費）為$40（學生在2023年5月22日11:59pm PST之前註冊，減免註冊費$40）

• 舊生及舊生兄弟姊妹 4/16/2023 開始註冊 
• 新生 4/30/2023 開始註冊

學費、註冊費

• 第四週前註冊（含第四週）- 收全學年學費︔註冊費$40
• 第四周後到八週註冊(含第八週） – 收全學年學費之 85% ;註冊費$40
• 第八週後到第⼀學期結束前註冊 – 收全學年學費之 80% ;註冊費$40
• 第⼆學期插班⽣學費為全學年之65% 註冊費$40︔若需申請退學，恕不退費

退費辦法

• 退費處理程序約為三至四週，退費過程註冊費不退費

• 開學日前退學，學雜費全額退還但需扣除手續費$35

• 第四週(含第四週)或之前申請退費，退還 75% 學雜費但需扣除手續費$35

• 第五週至第七周(含第七週)申請退費，退還 50% 學雜費但需扣除手續費$35

• 第七周之後至上學期結束申請退費，退還 25% 學雜費但需扣除手續費$35

• 下學期開學日後，將不再退還學費。

才藝課

• 每班 8 ⼈以上即可開班。依報名先後順序編號，依此順序編班，最多15 位學生。
• 學校有權決定班級⼈數及視學⽣情況⽽拒收。
• ⼀學年上課約30週。才藝班退費辦法：每週上課扣 $20︔第七週之後，恕不退費。
• 才藝班換課費⽤：上課第⼆週之後換課收取 $20 ⼿續費
• 才藝班的材料費恕不退還。
• 家長均需輪值到班上當愛⼼家長，協助⽼師上課及維持教室秩序及整潔。

• 舊生  學生不會記得自己的學號。
