
Tzu Chi USA and TIMA: Enlightening wellness and celebrating 30 years of service during this year’s upcoming global medical forum
San Dimas, CA, March 30, 2019 – The Tzu Chi International Medical Association (or TIMA) will hold its annual Global Forum from March 29-31, 2019, at the Tzu Chi USA Headquarters in San Dimas, California. It gathers health professionals, job seekers, and volunteers from the international community to attend accredited workshops touching upon contemporary topics in medical, dental, vision care, and community health. It comes at a time when Tzu Chi USA marks it’s 30th anniversary of humanitarian service in the United States.
TIMA is a global coalition of health professionals and volunteers dedicated to providing quality care throughout the world. Founded by Dharma Master Cheng Yen of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, TIMA works with the spirit of offering compassion and relief to those who suffer, as well as continuing medical education (CME) seminars which focus on humanistic and holistic approaches to healthcare.
All are welcome to attend the offered “Break Out” sessions on Saturday, March 30th, which will illuminate increasingly trending topics including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), acupuncture, and integrative East-West medicine, dental, nutrition, pharmacy.
Workshops touching on mental health, Western medicine, artificial intelligence, and dental care will be open to the public on Saturday.
This year’s global forum also celebrates Tzu Chi USA’s 30th anniversary, a special commemorative event will be held from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM on the 30th. Everyone is encouraged to attend!
