New York, NY, August 20, 2024—On August 8, 2024, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation’s Northeast Regional Office, better known as Tzu Chi New York, unveiled a new, interactive art installation at the High Line Nine galleries in New York City called “Till Echoes Can Be Heard.” Located at 508 W 28th Street, New York, NY, 10001, the exhibit showcases Tzu Chi New York’s humanitarian work at pivotal moments in recent New York City history as well as its ongoing work to serve metro area populations and communities in need. With this exhibition as its backdrop, Tzu Chi New York will be hosting a public event called “Building Effective Community Partnerships: Case Studies,” at High Line Nine on August 24, 2024 from 2-4PM.
Set as a community forum, the event invites presenters, panelists and community members to examine successful collaboration models across various sectors related to social impact. Discussions will focus on the following four points:
- Innovative Collaborative Models: Exploring new approaches in urban development, education, healthcare, and disaster response.
- Overcoming Barriers: Identifying and addressing common challenges in achieving successful collaborations.
- Measuring Outcomes: Techniques for assessing the impact and effectiveness of community partnerships.
- Scaling Success: Strategies for expanding successful collaboration efforts to other communities.
Presenters include:
- Dario Diaz, Director of Disaster Planning, American Red Cross Greater New York Region
- Miguel Centeno, Vice President of Community Engagement, Healthfirst Inc.
Panelists include:

This forum is designed to provide community organizations and their partners with valuable learning and networking opportunities, facilitating a deeper understanding of how to enhance social impact through effective community partnerships. Guests are also encouraged to explore the exhibit, “Till Echoes Can Be Heard,” open daily from 10:30AM – 6 PM at the High Line Nine.

The Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation is a global non-profit humanitarian organization founded in 1966 by a Buddhist nun named Dharma Master Cheng Yen in Taiwan.
