Tzu Chi volunteers meet with survivors of the deadly LA wildfires on January 22 and learn of their most urgent needs.

Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

As a key member of the California Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (California VOAD) and the Emergency Network Los Angeles (ENLA), Tzu Chi USA has been invited to participate in the 2025 Wildfires Resource Hub, which will be operating for six consecutive days, from Monday, January 27, to Saturday, February 1, at the Kaiser Permanente medical offices in Pasadena, to provide services to households affected by wildfires. Available resources will include financial assistance, non-perishable food and fresh produce, a play area and free childcare, a wellness and relaxation zone, air purifiers, wildfire recovery information, and more.

The Wildfires Resource Hub is co-hosted by the California Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (CalVOAD), the Emergency Network Los Angeles (ENLA), and Kaiser Permanente. The Hub will invite representatives from federal and state government agencies, as well as major non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, United Way, and Tzu Chi USA, to join in serving disaster survivors.

The Wildfires Resource Hub will operate under the same guidelines as the government-led Disaster Recovery Centers. Filming will be restricted once disaster survivors are present on the premises. As such, press access for filming and interviews will be limited to 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM on the morning of the Hub’s opening.
