• School day

School begins on September 10, 2023 and ends on May 19, 2024, and takes place every Sunday between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

• Curriculum

Chinese 3 and above students have two periods of Chinese classes, and one period of Extracurricular class.
All other classes are three periods of Chinese classes.

• Extra Curriculum
  Students above Chinese three have to participate in an Extra Curriculum. Class is listed below:
  • Basketball 
  • Recorder Instrument
  • Chinese chess
  • Math SAT (completed algebra) 
  • Origami
  • Bead/mental arithmetic (Please bring your own abacus) 
  • Calligraphy & Recital
    
    
• Textbook

Use Let’s Learn Chinese or Easy Chinese as a textbook.

• Class Size

There will be a maximum of 30 students per class. For a class to commence, a minimum of 15 students is required. If the minimum number is not reached, or for any other reason, the school reserves the right to cancel the class.

• Placement Test

Students over 4  years old can enroll in kindergarten class.

Students over 6 years old can enroll in phonetic or pinyin classes All new students (first grade and above) need to take a  placement test. Please contact the school at 626-775-3675 to arrange the test. 

• Enrollment

Determined by the order of complete registration.

• Parent’s Note
  • All new students’ parents are required to serve 20 hours of volunteering services per student in the first year.
  • Parents are strongly urged to participate in school activities throughout the school year including: Orientation, Parent/Teacher Conference, Chinese New Year Celebration, Buddha-Bathing Ceremony Humanity Class (May), Last Day of School Assembly.

REQUIREMENTS

• Age:
  • The beginners/ Kindergarten levels of proficiency from ages 4 to 5, must be at least 4 years old before April 1, 2023.
  • PinYin is available to ages  6 and up. New students enrolled in first grade and higher will be assessed before enrollment.Please call the office first to arrange the test  before submitting the registration.
• Uniform:
  
  • Students are required to wear uniforms during Classes.
  • Summer uniform is $18 and winter sweatshirt is $20.
    Uniforms can be purchased from the school after school starts. Navy Blue Khaki trousers and white sneakers may be purchased at stores such as Kohl’s, Target or Walmart.
  • Uniform fees are payable in cash.

TUITION & FEES

• Returning students: $500 (include $30 Textbook fee)
• New students: $530 (include $30 Textbook fee) + parents are required to serve 20 hours of volunteering services.
• Material fee: $30  Chinese chess, basketball, math SAT  bead/mental arithmetic, origami, recorder, calligraphy & recital. Every student in or above Chinese III class has to participate in Extracurricular Class.
• Registration fee: $30 (non-refundable) is required for all students. 

REGISTRATION DATES

• Returning students: 06/15/23.
• New students: 06/30/23.

REFUND POLICY

Please fill out the Withholding /Tuition Refund Request Form and email the form to school. Refunds will be refunded to the original payment method.

Refund processing time may take 3~4 weeks, NO REFUND will be given for the registration fee.

• Requests received before school start: 100% refund after deducting $30.00 processing fee.
• Requests received during school 4th Week(include 4th week): 75% refund after deducting $30.00 processing fee. No refund on the material fee.
• Requests received during school 5th to 7th Week(include 7th week): 50% refund after deducting $30.00 processing fee.
• Tuition is not refundable after 7th Week.
• No refunds will be given for expelled students.
• Students truant for three times and above will automatically be expelled and no refunds will be given.

中文三或以上，每位學生必須參加才藝班。

• 班級人數

每班以30人為限，至少15人才開班，學生人數不足或其他因素需考量時，學校有權決定不開班。

• 新生測驗

所有新生報名中一以上，均需參加「程度測驗」，均依程度分班，請連絡學校安排考試。電話:626-775-3675。

• 錄取方式

依報名註冊手續全部完成之先後次序優先錄取。

• 家長注意事項
  • 新生家長必需參與學校志工行列。加入第一年必須在學校服務20個小時。
  • 家長參與本校下列活動，例如：新生家長說明會、家長/老師座談會、新春活動、浴佛節、結業典禮。

註冊條件

  • 4足歲~未滿18歲。學習的初學者，必須在2023年4月01日之前滿4歲。
  • 4歲和5歲以上的學生可報名幼中班。
  • 6歲以上的學生可報名注音班或拼音班。
  • 新學生就讀中一班以上將在入學前接受評估。請連絡學校測試過後再網路註冊與繳交學費。
    
    
• 制服：
  學生在上課時必须穿校服。
  • 制服費用：夏季上衣$18，冬季長袖上衣$20。
  • 深藍色卡其長褲，請自行在Kohl’s, Target, Walmart… 等處購買。
  • 開學後可向學校購買制服，請用現金購買。
    
    

學雜費用（以年度計算，不可抵稅）

• 舊生：$500（包含$30 書本費）。
• 新生：$530（包含$30 書本費）+家長服務點數20個小時。

退學與退費辦法

請填寫退學/退費申請表 Withdrawal/Tuition Refund Request，email至學校郵箱，學校財務將會以同樣付費方式退費給家長。

• 退費處理程序約為三至四週，退費過程註冊費不退費
• 開學日前退學，學雜費+才藝費全額退還但需扣除手續費$30。
• 第四週(含第四週)或之前申請退費，退還 75% 學雜費但需扣除手續費$30。才藝費不退。
• 第五週至第七週(含第七週)申請退費，退還 50% 學雜費但需扣除手續費$30。才藝費不退。
• 第七週之後將不再退還學費。
• 勒令退學者，不得申請退費。
• 凡學生無故曠課達三次，將視為自動退學，恕不退費。
