Tzu Chi’s Ongoing Free Clinic in San Bernardino Serves Those in Need

Shortly after starting its food distribution project in 1996, Tzu Chi USA National Headquarters began providing free quarterly clinics for agricultural workers and low-income families in San Bernardino County, one of the five poorest counties in the United States. After a temporary suspension due to the pandemic, the clinics resumed in 2022, offering Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine services as well as dental and eye care not usually covered by American health insurance.
