On the morning of November 15th, Tzu Chi volunteers woke a bit earlier than usual, leaving behind their cozy blankets for a day of service. They set out at dawn in two Tzu Chi Vision Mobile Clinics. Their destination: Elmhurst, New York. This event in collaboration with Brigada De Esperanza NY marked the second Vision Mobile outreach event for Hispanic community members in Elmhurst.
Tzu Chi volunteers are always grateful to collaborate with fellow volunteers at Brigada de Esperanza. And after working together to hold multiple food drives in New York for underserved families within Spanish-speaking communities, volunteers united again for a Vision Mobile training course, which will enable Spanish-speaking volunteers to reach out to more communities, and provide crucial vision services to children who require prescription glasses.

On October 24, 2020, Tzu Chi New York held the first of three Youth Future Global Dialogues offering insight into pressing topics that affect us all — from COVID-19, to education, the environment, human rights, the importance of compassion, and so much more.
