The COVID-19 pandemic has created hardships for all of us. If you’ve experienced financial difficulty and live in the state of California, Tzu Chi USA is here to connect you to the right resources.
Through our COVID-19 Relief Family Services, a Tzu Chi volunteer will offer you and your family help to apply for financial assistance through the following federal and state programs. Our services are offered in English and Mandarin Chinese, as well as virtual and in-person*.
COVID-19 Funeral Assistance: if you have lost a loved one after January 20, 2020, and are struggling to cover funeral-related expenses, you may qualify for federal aid from FEMA.
CA COVID-19 Rent Relief: if you have struggled to pay or collect rent from April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, you may qualify for financial assistance from California state.
