As the COVID-19 crisis continues to unfold, food insecurity is on the rise with many individuals unable to return to work, and thus, unable to support themselves and their families. In an effort to alleviate the weight of this struggle so abruptly hefted upon the shoulders of underprivileged families, Tzu Chi will host a grocery giveaway in honor of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10th.
A total of 1,000 bags of groceries — including fresh produce and pantry staples — will be distributed to those in need on a first-come, first-served basis. Adhering to the precautions in place to safeguard the wellness of our valued beneficiaries, the distribution will operate through drive-thru pickup only. Face masks or other facial coverings will additionally be required.
Please join us at 8 AM at our Tzu Chi Education Campus, located at 1920 S. Brea Canyon Cutoff Rd., Walnut, CA, 91789.
