As we continue to monitor the global COVID-19 pandemic, we’re doing our part to ensure that both our dedicated volunteers and the communities we serve can stay safe and protected as this national emergency unfolds. Thus, we have taken the following measures:
All charity and medical programs are suspended until 3/31 (or until further notice)
Closed Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool & Kindergartens in Walnut & Monrovia, CA till 3/27 (or until further notice) with a transition to self-learning packages and follow-ups on learning progress.
Closed Tzu Chi Elementary Schools in Walnut & Monrovia, CA, and have begun online learning with self-study and face-to-face video sessions
In-person events are canceled and upcoming gatherings may be conducted on an online basis, including daily prayers

Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool and Kindergarten in Houston, TX are suspended till 3/20 (or until further notice)

Beginning March 16, Tzu Chi Academy classes are suspended until further notice
Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool and Kindergarten in Dallas, TX are suspended till 3/20 (or until further notice)
All events and services canceled including nursing home visits, hot meals for the homeless services
Tzu Chi Academy classes canceled for 2 weeks and have plans to begin online classes after
Chicago’s Tzu Ching retreat on 3/20-3/22 changed to online gathering
Beginning March 15, Tzu Chi Academy classes will resume online only
Beginning March 6, our Food Pantry program will continue until March 23, but change operations as follows:
Food will be pre-packaged
Volunteers’ temperatures will be checked, especially those who carry foods to care recipients’ vehicles
Care recipients will be given hand sanitizer before filling out the necessary paperwork in their cars
Program will be suspended from March 23-31st, or until further notice

All charity and medical programs, including Food Pantry, medical outreach, SNAP Food Stamp Programs, are suspended
Tzu Chi Academy Long Island classes will resume online

VITA services will be conducted on a case-by-case basis (drop off documents and pick up to sign in the parking lot)
Beginning March 14, Tzu Chi Academy is suspended for 3 weeks (or until further notice)
