The Compassion in Action: 2022 Tzu Chi Walkathon raises awareness of and fundraises for our education mission and charity programs.
After many years of hard work and effort since 1996, the Tzu Chi Great Love Preschool and Kindergarten finally opened its doors at our campus in Houston, TX in 2014. Since that time, our education mission has filled unique gaps that exist in early childhood education programs through…
Bilingual Chinese-English instruction, helping young children build cross-cultural bridges
Dynamic character education curricula, designed to strengthen positive social and behavioral development as children grow
At the same time, our charity programs over the years have addressed the needs of underserved populations across Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. We’ve provided aid in times of disaster and have supported families experiencing hard times. These have included…
Emergency and long-term aid through Hurricanes Ida, Harvey, Michael, Irma, and Katrina (including cash cards, eco-blankets and scarves, toiletries, and more)
Charity services like food distributions, school supply donations, clothing drives, and individual case management
We also especially focus our charity services on populations that are largely underserved.
With funds you help raise through the 2022 Tzu Chi Walkathon, you help support the development of our character education curricula and bolster our charity programs.
Above all, the Walkathon is a chance for all of us to come together after a long and grueling pandemic, have fun, and support a great cause.

RallyUp is a platform that makes online fundraising easier – and more personal – than ever. We will also use the information you enter as your registration. From here, you’ll be able to set up a fundraising page for the 2022 Tzu Chi Walkathon in your name. Once you’re set up, you can customize it to include photos and videos that share why you’re participating with your family and friends.
While RallyUp is a free platform, you will be charged a minimal online payment processing fee at checkout. However, to support the platform, you may choose to provide a “tip.”
In addition to platform costs, you will see an option to “tip” RallyUp. RallyUp does not charge Tzu Chi USA for using its platform, which allows all of your raised funds to go directly to us. At the same time, we do encourage you to consider a small tip to RallyUp that will support its ability to keep this platform free and easy to use for charities like ours.
The $35 registration fee helps us cover event-related costs (including a t-shirt in your size and 10 complimentary tickets for food and games at the Fall Festival for all participants). This helps us operate the event smoothly and conveniently for all participants to enjoy.
Sure! We welcome sentient beings in all their shapes and forms.
