Program Manager for San Bernardino City Children & Families Support Program

Job Description:
The Program Manager will oversee the implementation of the San Bernardino City Children & Families Support Program, which aims to promote healthy child development through the implementation of a district-wide School Wellness policy.
- Develop and implement strategies to extend the availability of food pantry services to weekends and introduce a Supper Program across all San Bernardino schools.
- Collaborate with the San Bernardino School District, school sites, parents, students, staff, and school board members to advocate for policy changes promoting healthy food choices.
- Attend biweekly coach sessions, monthly meetings, and technical assistance workshops hosted by All Children Thrive (ACT) to build up knowledge and tools for effective policy
change advocacy. - Establish and lead a Design Team consisting of stakeholders to actively participate in the School Wellness Committee and LCAP Stakeholder Groups.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to support program goals.
- Prepare and present reports on program activities, progress, and outcomes to program funders, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including community members, organizations, and government agencies.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and manage a team.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel for program purpose (mileage reimbursement available)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, education, social sciences, community development); Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders, including parents, students, school staff, and government officials.
- Experience working in school or education settings is highly desirable.
Language:
English proficiency required, bilingual in English and Chinese/Spanish preferred.
Salary Range:
Salary: $30/hour
Hour: up to 28 hours/week
Other:
- Hybrid (Require at least 2 full days per week in the San Dimas office)
- Grant-funded position ends on 12/31/2026
