We warmly invite you to join us for Tzu Chi USA’s annual Northwest Region Charity Concert!

The Tzu Chi USA Northwest Regional Office has become a steadfast pillar in the community over the past thirty years. Your contributions have been instrumental in enabling Tzu Chi volunteers across Northern California, as well as Oregon, the state of Washington, and more to reach out to those in need with timely and urgent care. This year, the proceeds from our charity concert will go to our Hurricanes disaster relief fund.

Each donation of $500 or more will receive complimentary tickets to our 2024 charity concert.

This concert will reunite renowned artists Chyi Yu and Michelle Pan on stage, promising an unforgettable performance for the Bay Area audience.
Mark your calendars and act quickly—this charity event is dedicated to fundraising, and there will be no ticket sales. We deeply appreciate your loving support!

PERFORMERS

Chyi Yu

Chyi Yu is a celebrated Taiwanese recording artist and performer recognized for her ethereal voice and soulful delivery. Having made her debut with her solo album & title song “The Olive Tree” in 1979, she has since recorded and released seven albums both in Chinese and in English. In 2018, she started a concert tour, “The Echo” (1985), featuring popular songwriter San Mao. This year, Yu joined the ensemble cast of “Ge Shou: Singer 2019,” a singing competition, and established the Chyi Yu Public Charity Fund with Mango V Foundation of the Hunan Satellite TV. In recent years, she has sung both Buddhist songs and gospel, hoping that her music can help break down barriers and that we can all live in peace without prejudice.

Michelle Pan

Michelle Pan’s deep and magnetic voice and penetrating vocal range have left an indelible mark on Chinese pop music. Her more than 40-year career in the Chinese music scene has earned her the title of “Legendary Queen of Songs.” As the first singer signed by Rock Records, she has been honed and enriched by ace producers such as Ta-yu Lo, Jonathan Lee, and Jonny Chen. Her influence is further underscored by her numerous pop music awards, including the Golden Melody Awards, the Golden Voice Award, and the Golden Tripod Awards. Her seven albums have been selected as the top of the 200 Best Taiwanese Pop Albums, and she was honored with the Special Contribution to Chinese Music in the Fifth Chinese Music Media Awards by Southern Metropolis Daily.

Aiding Families Across the U.S.

To help ensure struggling households have the support they need to thrive, Tzu Chi volunteers distribute fresh groceries, hot meals, school supplies, and more. Furthermore, unique programs and initiatives, like Happy Campus, allow us to work closely with public schools across California, aiding and inspiring students while creating a harmonious environment for all to share.

Medical Outreach

Supporting good health for all is one of our core missions. We help families and communities access the care they need for free or at a minimal cost.

Community medical outreach events served by volunteer doctors and professionals affiliated with TIMA (Tzu Chi International Medical Association) aid low-income, uninsured, or underinsured patients and those who lack access to ongoing medical care, providing vision, dental, and more services with love and dedication, because every patient counts.
