Formed in 2007, LaMigo has been playing hit songs and classics in English, Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, and Japanese across Southern California. Comprised of immigrants, band members come from professional backgrounds in accounting, engineering, and more, yet remain bonded by their love of music and spreading joy.

Established in 1994, STC Performing Arts shares the beauty and art of Asian culture through folk dance. Dancers are trained in a broad repertoire of styles that include Chinese classical dance, folk dance, the martial arts, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. They have performed at Disneyland, in Taiwan, the Rose Parade, and at the LA International Travel and Adventure Show among others.

Marcos Loya

LA native Marcos Loya is a master of many instruments, including the requinto, a small stringed guitar. His work has appeared in films and theatrical productions and has performed among musical giants Plácido Domingo and Madonna, having famously appeared in her 1987 music video, “La Isla Bonita.”

Tzu Chi USA Headquarters Sign Language Performers

Using Buddhist mudras, or symbolic hand gestures, Tzu Chi’s Sign Language Arts hold a distinct place in Tzu Chi’s culture. Intended to artistically share Buddhist teachings through elegant and graceful movements, Tzu Chi sign language performances require weeks of practice so the Dharma may be spread with refinement and beauty.

Inland Tzu Shao Youth Group Orchestra

Musical Group

Led by Nathan Chun, the Inland Tzu Shao Youth Association Orchestra is composed of high school and middle school students with a love of music as well as community service. In their spare time, its young members visit nursing homes and perform at events by Tzu Chi USA, hoping to spread cheer and represent the positive wishes of young people.

Tzu Chi USA Headquarters Choir

Musical Group

Our in-house choir consists of nearly 20 Tzu Chi volunteers and 10 Tzu Shao volunteers, or members of Tzu Chi’s youth association. “Unwavering Compassion,” the 2021 Tzu Chi USA Headquarters Charity Concert, marks their on-stage debut.

Poverty across the U.S.

By mid-2022, the US has experienced its second consecutive quarter of economic decline, triggering fears of potential recession.
