Holiday Fun & Gifts for Underprivileged Families

On November 21st Tzu Chi USA hosted a holiday celebration for underprivileged families in Southern California.

Sixty families (more than 200 people) from Cerritos, El Monte, Hacienda Heights, Pomona, San Bernardino, Santa Ana and Whittier, got a bus ride to Tzu Chi USA’s headquarters in San Dimas, where they enjoyed a delicious Vegetarian Turkey Feast, and music and dance entertainment in sign language performed by volunteers.

Festivities included the distribution of gifts including winter scarves and gloves, socks and underwear, backpacks and toys, and a $100 debit card per family.

There were smiles all around at this joyful occasion where everyone celebrated together as one family.
