Tzu Chi USA is joining hands with the American Red Cross to provide free fire alarm installations for Queens, NY, homeowners.
Fire safety is important as ever; installing fire alarms may drastically helps prevent property damage and save lives.
Queens homeowners have until March 30th to register for a free installation by Tzu Chi New York Chapter volunteers. Please call 718-888-0866 or visit our Flushing Office to make an appointment today.
Note: we are looking for passionate individuals willing to volunteer to keep NYC homeowners safe. All volunteers who register will be trained by the American Red Cross. Please register by March 25th.
Volunteer Types
Installer
Responsible for install alarms, and test them in front fo residents with educator. Ability to reach above shoulder level, hold electronic screw driver and climb stair required.
Educator
Educate the resident on the Fire Safety Checklist/Safety Plan. Review alarm maintenance with residents.
Documenter
Complete “Service Acknowledgement Form” and “Assessment Form.”
