On January 27, a serious fire broke out in an apartment building in Richmond, the ruthless fire severely affected 16 families. On February 9, 20 Tzu Chi volunteers went to the community activity center to deliver cash cards and eco-friendly blankets to the survivors.

On the evening of International Women's Day, March 8, Tzu Chi hosted in New York a parallel meeting with the theme "Digitalization: Opportunities to Accelerate Meaningful Learning for All," in the event of the 67th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Experts and participants discussed how digital learning technologies are rapidly maturing to accelerate equal rights for women in education worldwide.

On April 18, 2023, the San Bernardino City Unified School District presented an award to Tzu Chi for its contributions to the community.

Twice a year, the Tzu Chi Education Foundation USA cooperates with the Walnut City Environmental Protection Bureau to distribute organic soil to the public. Volunteers take this opportunity to promote vegetarianism and encourage people to be healthier with less meat and more vegetables.
